Overview

Efgartigimod alfa-qvfc is the hyaluronidase component used in the fixed-dose subcutaneous combination product **efgartigimod alfa + hyaluronidase-qvfc**. It is a recombinant human hyaluronidase that transiently depolymerizes hyaluronan in the subcutaneous space, increasing tissue permeability and facilitating dispersion and absorption of coadministered efgartigimod alfa after subcutaneous injection. It is part of the marketed product VYVGART HYTRULO developed by argenx for autoimmune diseases including generalized myasthenia gravis and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, but efgartigimod alfa-qvfc itself is not the FcRn-binding therapeutic moiety and should be understood as the delivery-enabling enzyme component of the combination formulation.
