Overview

**efineptakin alfa + nivolumab** is an investigational combination therapy consisting of NT-I7 (efineptakin alfa), a novel long-acting human interleukin-7 (IL-7) cytokine, and nivolumab (Opdivo), a PD-1 blocking monoclonal antibody. NT-I7 is designed to promote T cell expansion and enhance immune responses, while nivolumab blocks PD-1 to restore anti-tumor T cell activity. The combination aims to synergistically enhance anti-tumor immunity. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of advanced or metastatic gastric cancer, gastro-esophageal junction (GEJ) cancer, and esophageal adenocarcinoma. NeoImmuneTech is the primary developer of efineptakin alfa, and Bristol Myers Squibb developed nivolumab. Phase 2 clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate efficacy, safety, and tolerability in these cancer populations[2][5][9][8].
