Overview

Efthalia is an allogeneic, ex vivo stem cell-derived insulin-producing beta cell therapy being developed by MicroCrispr for the treatment of Type 1 diabetes. The therapy is designed to replace the function of pancreatic beta cells that are lost or destroyed in patients with the disease, thereby restoring endogenous insulin production and improving glycemic control. Efthalia is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
