Overview

Egalet-003 is a preclinical drug candidate developed by Egalet (now part of Assertio Therapeutics) utilizing the proprietary Guardian™ technology platform. The Guardian technology is an injection-molding process that creates a hard, polymer-based matrix, resulting in tablets that are extremely difficult to crush, grind, or dissolve. This platform is specifically designed to provide extended-release delivery while offering significant tamper-resistant properties to deter common methods of abuse, such as inhalation or injection. Egalet-003 was designed as a tamper-resistant, extended-release stimulant intended for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
