Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**EGF-LDP-IGF-AE** is an experimental, enediyne-energized recombinant fusion protein designed to target **epidermal growth factor receptor** and **insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor** on tumor cells. It combines epidermal growth factor and insulin-like growth factor 1 targeting ligands with the lidamycin apoprotein carrier loaded with the highly cytotoxic lidamycin enediyne chromophore AE. Following receptor binding and cellular internalization, it suppresses EGFR and IGF-1R signaling and delivers an enediyne DNA-damaging payload. It showed potent in-vitro and xenograft antitumor activity in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer models, but no clinical development or marketed use was identified.
