EGFR C797S inhibitor is a small-molecule targeted therapy being developed by Nutshell Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors. It is specifically designed to target the C797S mutation in the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), which is a well-characterized resistance mechanism that emerges in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) following treatment with third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) such as osimertinib. By selectively inhibiting the C797S mutant form of the receptor, this drug candidate aims to overcome acquired resistance and provide a new therapeutic option for patients with advanced malignancies who have progressed on standard-of-care EGFR-targeted therapies. The program is currently in the Lead to Pre-Clinical Candidate (PCC) stage of development.
