Overview

EGFR-targeted UCAR-T cell injection is an allogeneic (universal) chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy designed to target the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Unlike autologous CAR-T therapies, UCAR-T cells are derived from healthy donors and engineered to be used off-the-shelf by reducing the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and immune rejection. This specific candidate is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced high-grade gliomas, such as glioblastoma, where EGFR is frequently overexpressed or mutated. The therapy aims to provide a potent, targeted immune response against tumor cells while overcoming the logistical and manufacturing challenges associated with patient-specific CAR-T products.
