EGFRvIII CAR-T (Shenzhen BinDeBio) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Shenzhen BinDeBio Ltd. (Shenzhen Binde Biotechnology Co., Ltd.) for the treatment of various solid tumors, including glioblastoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, esophageal cancer, and gastric cancer. The therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T lymphocytes to express a chimeric antigen receptor that specifically targets the Epidermal growth factor receptor variant III (EGFRvIII). EGFRvIII is a tumor-specific mutation frequently expressed in certain malignancies but absent in healthy tissues, making it a highly selective target for immunotherapy. Upon infusion, these modified T cells recognize and bind to EGFRvIII-positive tumor cells, leading to targeted cell lysis. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials as part of a multi-target immunotherapy platform.
