EI-4

EI-4 is a novel small molecule inhibitor that targets the transcription factor ETS-1 (E26 transformation specific sequence 1). ETS-1 is a key regulator involved in the proliferation and invasion of malignant tumor cells, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), by mediating the transcription of invasion/migration-related factors like matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). EI-4 has demonstrated the ability to inhibit ETS-1 transcription factor activation and suppress the proliferation and invasion of HCC cells, showing promising antitumor activity in preclinical studies. It was identified as part of a research effort to find new small molecule inhibitors of ETS-1 for HCC therapy.
