EIK10001 is an investigational multi-antigenic DNA therapeutic vaccine developed by Inovio Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with the Institut Bergonie. It is designed to target 12 different antigens, including two universal tumor-associated antigens—human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) and survivin—and ten viral antigens associated with various cancers (HPV16, HPV18, EBV, HBV, and HHV8). The vaccine consists of multiple DNA plasmids delivered via intramuscular injection followed by electroporation using the CELLECTRA device. This approach aims to induce a robust T-cell immune response against tumor cells expressing these antigens. EIK10001 is being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including pancreatic cancer, virus-associated cancers (cervical, head and neck, anal, nasopharyngeal), and other malignancies like hepatocellular carcinoma and triple-negative breast cancer.
