Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EIS-10700 is a novel, small-molecule allosteric inhibitor targeting the RNA helicase of SARS-CoV-2. Developed by Eisbach Bio using its proprietary ALLOS drug discovery engine, the compound is designed to suppress viral replication by targeting a molecular machine conserved across all known COVID-19 variants, potentially providing resistance to future mutations. The drug completed a Phase I clinical trial in May 2024, which evaluated its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers under both fasted and fed conditions. The development was supported by the German Federal Ministry of Research (BMBF) as part of the EisCor2 project.
