Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EK-004 is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting Glypican-3 (GPC3), currently in preclinical development by Shanghai Enkai Cell Technology (Shanghai NK Cell Technology). GPC3 is a cell-surface oncofetal protein that is highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) but has limited expression in normal adult tissues, making it an ideal target for immunotherapy. EK-004 is designed to recognize and eliminate GPC3-positive tumor cells, specifically for the treatment of liver cancer.
