Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EK-006 is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy currently in preclinical development by Shanghai Enkai Cell Technology (also known as Shanghai NK Cell Technology). The therapy is engineered to target mesothelin, a cell surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in several solid tumors, including pancreatic cancer, while showing limited expression in normal tissues. By directing T cells to express a CAR specific for mesothelin, EK-006 aims to selectively identify and eliminate mesothelin-positive malignant cells. Its primary development focus is for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
