Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ekoflor is a multi-component probiotic preparation developed by AO Vector-BiAlgam, featuring live bacteria immobilized on a carbon-mineral sorbent. The formulation typically includes strains such as *Bifidobacterium bifidum*, *Lactobacillus plantarum*, and *Lactobacillus acidophilus*. The immobilization technology protects the microorganisms from the harsh gastric environment, ensuring high concentrations reach the intestinal tract. Simultaneously, the sorbent component (often a carbon-based material like SUMS-1) acts as an enterosorbent, binding and removing endogenous and exogenous toxins, allergens, and pathogenic metabolites. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of intestinal dysbiosis, gastrointestinal infections, and various digestive disorders, providing a dual action of microflora restoration and detoxification.
