Overview
Ekoflor is a multi-component probiotic preparation developed by AO Vector-BiAlgam, featuring live bacteria immobilized on a carbon-mineral sorbent. The formulation typically includes strains such as *Bifidobacterium bifidum*, *Lactobacillus plantarum*, and *Lactobacillus acidophilus*. The immobilization technology protects the microorganisms from the harsh gastric environment, ensuring high concentrations reach the intestinal tract. Simultaneously, the sorbent component (often a carbon-based material like SUMS-1) acts as an enterosorbent, binding and removing endogenous and exogenous toxins, allergens, and pathogenic metabolites.
