Ektericid

Ektericid is a topical antiseptic solution developed and manufactured by Biolik Biopharmaceutical in Ukraine. It is derived from the oxidation of fish oil, resulting in a mixture of water-soluble products including peroxides and aldehydes. The drug exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against pyogenic microflora, such as *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, *Escherichia coli*, *Proteus*, and *Staphylococci*, including antibiotic-resistant strains. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of infected postoperative and traumatic wounds, burns, trophic ulcers, boils, and fistulous forms of osteomyelitis. It is applied topically in undiluted form and is noted for its ability to promote healing in chronic or complicated suppurative processes.
