Ektomun is a bispecific trifunctional antibody (trAb) that targets both GD2, a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in neuroblastoma and other neuroectodermal tumors, and CD3 on T cells. It is designed to recruit and activate T cells at the tumor site while also engaging accessory immune cells via its Fc region. This trifunctional mechanism enables direct cytotoxicity against GD2-expressing tumor cells through T cell activation, proinflammatory cytokine release, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that Ektomun induces strong antitumor responses in models of neuroblastoma by activating effector immune cells and mediating GD2-dependent cytotoxic effects. The drug was initially developed by Lindis Biotech using their Triomab platform[1][2][3][4][7].
