Overview

EKZ-102 is an oral, small molecule, histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) inhibitor being developed by Eikonizo Therapeutics. It is characterized by high potency, selectivity, and CNS penetrance, designed to protect neuronal function while minimizing potential off-target side effects. EKZ-102 has a dual mechanism approach targeting both intracellular transport and proteostasis defects, which are key drivers of neurodegenerative disease biology. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and other neurodegenerative diseases, with potential to be a first-in-class, disease-modifying therapy.
