ELA822 is a SIRP-targeted investigational therapy developed by Electra Therapeutics designed to selectively deplete activated T lymphocytes for broad application across autoimmune, immunology, and inflammation (I&I) diseases. As a next-generation candidate following Electra’s ELA026, ELA822 aims to selectively target signal regulatory protein (SIRP) family cell surface receptors, leveraging a novel mechanism to modulate immune function by depleting pathogenic immune cells while sparing healthy ones. The main development rationale is based on clinical experience with SIRP-targeted mechanisms in hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). ELA822 is in preclinical development and is being advanced for a range of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions[1][5][6][7][10][13][14][16].
