Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Elacestrant + ribociclib** is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated primarily for the treatment of estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer. Elacestrant is a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD), while ribociclib is a cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor. The combination aims to address resistance to prior endocrine therapies and CDK4/6 inhibitors by concurrently targeting the estrogen receptor and cell cycle progression. The combination has demonstrated manageable safety and promising efficacy, with progression-free survival of 7.8 months reported in clinical trials for heavily pretreated patient populations.
