Overview

ELC-201 is a next-generation oncolytic virus therapy developed by Elicera Therapeutics. It is based on a genetically modified adenovirus vector and incorporates the proprietary iTANK technology platform, as well as a transgene for 4-1BB ligand (4-1BBL). This design enables three combined mechanisms of action in cancer treatment. First, the virus selectively infects and lyses cancer cells through direct oncolysis. Second, the iTANK platform enhances immune activation by releasing neutrophil activating protein (NAP), which stimulates endogenous killer T-cells to mount a broad immune response against tumor cells. Third, expression of 4-1BBL further boosts T-cell activation within the tumor microenvironment. ELC-201 is being developed for use across multiple solid tumor types and has demonstrated preclinical proof-of-concept efficacy in several cancers including pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer[2][3][5][8].
