Overview
EleCare Jr is a specialized, hypoallergenic, amino acid-based medical food designed for children aged one year and older who cannot tolerate intact or hydrolyzed proteins. Manufactured by Abbott Nutrition, it is formulated for the dietary management of severe food allergies (such as cow's milk and soy protein allergies), protein maldigestion, malabsorption, short bowel syndrome, and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. The product contains 100% free amino acids as its protein source, supplemented with medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) for improved fat absorption, as well as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and lutein to support brain and eye development. It is intended for use under medical supervision and is suitable for both oral and tube feeding.
