Eleutherococcus fluid extract

Eleutherococcus fluid extract is a traditional herbal medicine produced by OJSC Dalkhimpharm, derived from the roots and rhizomes of *Eleutherococcus senticosus* (Siberian ginseng). It is prepared as a 1:1 fluid extract using 40% ethanol as the solvent. Classified as an adaptogen and tonic agent (ATC code A13A), the extract contains a complex mixture of active phytochemicals, most notably eleutherosides (glycosides A-M), phenolic compounds, and polysaccharides. The medicine is primarily indicated for the treatment of asthenia, fatigue, and decreased physical or mental performance. It works by enhancing the body's non-specific resistance to various stressors and adverse environmental factors, a property characteristic of adaptogenic substances. This product has been industrially produced in Russia since 1964 and remains a staple of the regional pharmacopeia.
