Overview

Elevess, originally developed under the name Redefyne, is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler designed for cosmetic tissue augmentation. It is composed of chemically modified, cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) derived from avian sources, formulated with 0.3% lidocaine to enhance patient comfort during the injection process. The product is indicated for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and for lip augmentation. Elevess was one of the first hyaluronic acid fillers to receive FDA approval (2006) that included an integrated anesthetic. It functions as a physical volumizer, utilizing the hydrophilic properties of hyaluronic acid to provide immediate structural support and hydration to the dermis. Although it was licensed to Galderma for global distribution, it has largely been superseded by newer generations of fillers within the Restylane portfolio.
