Overview

Elismetrep is a small molecule antagonist of the transient receptor potential melastatin 8 (TRPM8) channel. It is being developed for the treatment of migraine, vasomotor symptoms (such as hot flashes), and diabetic neuropathies. The drug was initially developed by Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation and is now also being developed by Kallyope. Elismetrep has reached Phase II clinical trials in its main indications, with ongoing studies evaluating its safety and efficacy in these conditions[1][3][4][5].
