Elixicure

Elixicure is an over-the-counter (OTC) topical pain relief cream developed and manufactured by Honest Globe. The formulation is a combination product containing active ingredients such as menthol and camphor, supplemented with hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) extract. It is designed for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with sore muscles and joints, arthritis, strains, bruises, and sprains. The product functions primarily as a counterirritant, utilizing menthol and camphor to create cooling and warming sensations that desensitize local nociceptors. Although marketed as an all-natural pain relief solution, Elixicure was the subject of a 2021 FDA warning letter regarding its status as an unapproved new drug and violations of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) regulations, specifically noting that CBD is not a recognized active ingredient in the OTC Topical Analgesic Monograph.
