ELN-128 is a preclinical-stage antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) developed by Elenae Therapeutics. It is designed as a Locked Nucleic Acid (LNA) mixmer that specifically targets and inhibits microRNA-128-3p (miR-128-3p). miR-128 is a key regulator of cardiac regeneration and remodeling; its inhibition is intended to promote cardiac repair and prevent the progression to heart failure following a myocardial infarction (MI). ELN-128 is currently undergoing preclinical evaluation in non-human primate and porcine models for early post-MI remodeling and heart failure prevention. The program is also being expanded to address cardiomyopathy associated with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
