Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Elsenz** is a fluoride-containing, over-the-counter remineralizing toothpaste developed and manufactured by Group Pharmaceuticals for daily management of dentin hypersensitivity and prevention of dental caries. Its principal functional ingredient is fluoro calcium phosphosilicate, a fluoride-containing bioactive glass marketed in association with BioMin F technology. On contact with saliva, the material releases fluoride, calcium, and phosphate ions that support formation of an acid-resistant fluorapatite-like mineral layer on enamel and exposed dentin, helping reduce sensitivity and protect against acid-mediated demineralization. The marketed product is a mint-flavored toothpaste paste for topical oral use.
