EM-801

EM-801 is an IgG-based bispecific T-cell engager antibody targeting B cell maturation antigen (BCMA) on multiple myeloma cells and CD3 on T cells. By binding to both BCMA and CD3, EM-801 facilitates the crosslinking of T cells with myeloma cells, leading to activation of both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. This results in secretion of cytotoxic molecules such as interferon-gamma, granzyme B, and perforin, ultimately inducing targeted killing of BCMA-expressing myeloma cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that EM-801 can induce potent anti-myeloma activity at nanomolar concentrations in patient-derived samples—including those from high-risk or heavily pretreated patients—and has shown efficacy in animal models. The drug is being developed for the treatment of multiple myeloma[3][7].
