Overview

EM060G is a stable oil-in-water emulsion (SE) developed by the Access to Advanced Health Institute (AAHI), formerly known as the Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI). It is a squalene-based formulation typically used as a vaccine adjuvant or as a vehicle control in clinical trials. In the Phase 1 study NCT01508247, EM060G was evaluated as a standalone emulsion to serve as a comparator for GLA-SE (Glucopyranosyl Lipid A in Stable Emulsion). The emulsion acts by enhancing the recruitment of antigen-presenting cells to the site of injection and improving the delivery of co-administered antigens to the draining lymph nodes, thereby boosting the overall immunogenicity of vaccine candidates.
