Overview
EMB-01 (also known as bafisontamab) is a novel bispecific monoclonal antibody developed using EpimAb’s proprietary FIT-Ig platform. It simultaneously targets the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) and c-Mesenchymal-Epithelial Transition factor (cMet) on tumor cells. By binding to both EGFR and cMet, EMB-01 is designed to inhibit signaling pathways that drive tumor growth and resistance mechanisms in various cancers. The drug is being investigated primarily for advanced/metastatic solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR mutations or cMET aberrations, as well as several gastrointestinal cancers such as gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and colorectal cancer[5][6][10]. Clinical trials are ongoing in the US and China.
