Overview

EMB-02 is a bispecific antibody developed by EpimAb Biotherapeutics that targets two immune checkpoint proteins, programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG-3, also known as CD223). It is designed to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by simultaneously inhibiting both PD-1 and LAG-3 pathways on T cells. This dual blockade aims to overcome resistance seen with standard anti-PD-1 monotherapies and stimulate T cell activity against tumors. EMB-02 is based on EpimAb’s proprietary FIT-Ig technology platform for generating bispecific antibodies with improved properties. The drug has shown strong anti-tumor activity in preclinical models resistant to standard therapies and is being evaluated in clinical trials for advanced solid tumors[1][2][3][4][5].
