Embozene Microspheres are tightly calibrated, biocompatible, color-coded hydrogel microspheres coated with the inorganic polymer Polyzene-F. They are used as embolic agents for the treatment of arteriovenous malformations (AVM), hypervascular tumors (HVT) including uterine fibroids and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and other conditions requiring vascular embolization. The spheres can be loaded with chemotherapeutic agents such as doxorubicin or irinotecan for use in transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) procedures. Their mechanism of action is mechanical occlusion of blood vessels to induce tissue ischemia and necrosis or to deliver localized chemotherapy when drug-loaded. The product is engineered for precise calibration, suspension stability during injection, resistance to fragmentation and deformation, and anti-inflammatory properties due to its Polyzene-F coating[2][5][6][8].
