Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Embrace Fluoride Varnish is a dental preventive product developed by Pulpdent, containing 5% sodium fluoride enhanced with proprietary cXp™ (xylitol-coated calcium and phosphate) technology. It is a topical varnish applied to tooth surfaces to treat dental hypersensitivity and superficial non-carious enamel lesions, as well as to prevent dental caries. The varnish utilizes a permeable resin matrix that maintains a uniform suspension, eliminating the need for mixing. Upon application, it provides a sustained release of fluoride, calcium, and phosphate ions over a four-hour period. These ions react with saliva to form protective fluorapatite, which remineralizes enamel and occludes dentinal tubules to reduce sensitivity.
