EME-10 is a preclinical-stage single-domain antibody (VHH nanobody) being developed by Epsilon Molecular Engineering for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is designed to preferentially bind to non-fibrillar, oligomeric forms of beta-amyloid peptide 42 (BAP42) over fibrillar forms, thereby preventing or reducing the formation of amyloid plaques in the brain. To facilitate passage across the blood-brain barrier (BBB), EME-10 can be utilized in conjunction with a peptide-based delivery system.
