Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Emibetuzumab + erlotinib is a combination therapy consisting of emibetuzumab, a humanized IgG4 monoclonal bivalent MET antibody that blocks both ligand-dependent and ligand-independent hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)/MET signaling, and erlotinib, an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This combination was developed to target both EGFR and MET pathways in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in EGFR-mutant tumors where MET signaling is a known resistance mechanism to EGFR inhibition.
