Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EMP 116 is an experimental PSMA-targeted radio-chemotherapy dual therapeutic being developed by Empiriko for the treatment of prostate cancer. The agent consists of a tumor-specific antibody conjugated to both a Lutetium-177 (177Lu) radiometal and a chemotherapy payload via a modified RCV-Chemo-Ab complex. This dual-modality approach is designed to deliver targeted ionizing radiation and cytotoxic chemotherapy simultaneously to PSMA-expressing tumor cells, potentially overcoming resistance mechanisms associated with monotherapies and improving clinical outcomes in prostate cancer patients.
