Overview

EMP402-Dx is a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical being developed by Empiriko for the imaging and management of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). It consists of a somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-targeting ligand labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope Gallium-68 (68Ga), utilizing Empiriko's proprietary RCV™ (Reduced Clearance Vehicle) carrier technology. The RCV carrier is designed to optimize the pharmacokinetic profile of the tracer, potentially improving the tumor-to-background ratio and image clarity during Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans. EMP402-Dx is intended to serve as a companion diagnostic within a theranostic framework, pairing with SSTR-targeted therapeutic agents like EMP405 or EMP408 to identify suitable candidates for radioligand therapy.
