Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EMP502-Dx is a research-stage diagnostic radiotracer being developed by Empiriko for the imaging of ovarian cancer. It consists of a gallium-68 (68Ga) radioisotope conjugated to a folate receptor-alpha (FRα) targeting ligand using Empiriko's proprietary Radioactive Carrier Vehicle (RCV) technology. Designed as a companion diagnostic, EMP502-Dx enables the identification of patients with FRα-positive tumors through PET/CT scanning, facilitating a theranostic approach when paired with FRα-targeted therapies such as antibody-drug conjugates (e.g., EMP505).
