Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EMSER Hals- und Rachenspray is a locally applied medical device (Medizinprodukt) containing Natural Emser Salt (Natürliches Emser Salz) as its sole active ingredient. Developed by Uriach Germany GmbH, it is indicated for the treatment of sore throat, hoarseness, cough irritation, and mucosal dryness. The spray works through a physical and mechanical mechanism of action, moistening the throat and pharyngeal mucosa, loosening mucus deposits, and buffering acid stress (e.g., from gastric reflux). It is free from preservatives, essential oils, and local anesthetics, making it suitable for use in children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers.
