Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Emtrix is a topical, prescription-free (OTC) treatment designed for nails affected by fungal infection (onychomycosis) or nail psoriasis. Originally developed by Moberg Pharma (formerly Moberg Derma), the product was part of a $155 million divestment to RoundTable Healthcare Partners and Signet Healthcare Partners, who subsequently established Advantice Health to manage the portfolio. Emtrix functions through a physical-chemical mechanism that hydrates and softens the nail plate (keratolytic action) while lowering the local pH to create an environment inhospitable to fungi. It is marketed globally under several brand names, including Nalox and Naloc, and is CE-marked as a medical device in European markets.
