Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Emugrobart + tirzepatide is an investigational combination regimen pairing emugrobart (GYM329, RO7204239), a subcutaneously administered monoclonal antibody that binds latent myostatin, with tirzepatide, a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. Developed by Roche, the combination was evaluated in the Phase 2 GYMINDA trial for the treatment of obesity and overweight in adults without diabetes, with the goal of preserving lean muscle mass during tirzepatide-induced weight loss. However, Roche discontinued the obesity program in September 2026 after an interim analysis concluded that achieving clinically meaningful weight loss was unlikely. Following the discontinuation, rights to emugrobart reverted to Chugai Pharmaceutical.
