Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Emunkitug is a first-in-class, humanized IgG1κ monoclonal antibody targeting tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2; TNFRSF1B). It is designed to bind potently and selectively to TNFR2, which is expressed on the surface of CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. Upon binding, emunkitug induces activation of these immune cells in the tumor microenvironment, enhancing T-cell- and NK cell-mediated immune responses against tumor cells. It is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for various advanced solid tumors, both as a monotherapy and in combination with anti-PD-1 therapy. The drug was developed by HiFiBiO Therapeutics and uses the company’s DIS® (Drug Intelligence Science) platform to guide dosing and indication selection[1][2][3][4][5][6].
