Overview

EN002-gel is an investigational small molecule topical gel developed by EnKang Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers and precancerous skin lesions. It acts as a DNA replication initiation proteins (DRIPs) inhibitor, specifically targeting the MCM7 protein (DNA replication licensing factor MCM7). By inhibiting MCM7, the drug aims to disrupt the replication process in malignant or precancerous cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I-II clinical trials in Australia for conditions including basal cell carcinoma, Bowen's disease, actinic keratosis, and squamous cell carcinoma of the skin.
