Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ENC006 is a preclinical-stage chemotherapeutic delivery platform developed by EnClear Therapies for the treatment of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LC). It represents the application of EnClear's EnTrega CSF Platform, a device-based system designed to improve the distribution of chemotherapeutic agents throughout the central nervous system (CNS). The platform utilizes two implantable catheters—one positioned in the lateral ventricle and another in the lumbar thecal sac—connected to an extracorporeal pump that actively controls the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This active circulation is intended to overcome the limitations of traditional intrathecal delivery, ensuring more uniform drug distribution across the leptomeninges and CNS. The goal of ENC006 is to enhance the efficacy of existing oncology drugs while reducing systemic side effects and improving survival outcomes for patients with late-stage cancer complications in the CNS.
