enCore Combination Allograft is a dental bone grafting material developed by Osteogenics Biomedical, consisting of a 50/50 mix of mineralized and demineralized cortical bone. This combination is designed to provide both a stable scaffold for osteoconduction (from the mineralized component) and osteoinductive potential (from the demineralized component, which exposes native bone morphogenetic proteins). It is primarily indicated for socket preservation, ridge augmentation, and guided bone regeneration (GBR) procedures to prevent alveolar bone loss following tooth extraction, thereby facilitating successful dental implant placement. In clinical studies conducted by the University of Michigan, it has been evaluated for its effectiveness in maintaining bone dimensions when used in conjunction with non-resorbable membranes during immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone.
