Overview
Endostar + carboplatin + fluorouracil is a combination regimen used in the treatment of advanced solid tumors and certain cancers such as head and neck cancer and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. - **Endostar** (recombinant human endostatin) is an anti-angiogenic agent that inhibits tumor blood vessel formation by targeting multiple pathways involved in angiogenesis. It is a proteolytic fragment of collagen XVIII with antitumor activity and a favorable toxicity profile[1][2]. - **Carboplatin** is an organoplatinum alkylating agent that induces DNA crosslinking leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells[5]. - **Fluorouracil (5-FU)** is a pyrimidine analog antimetabolite that inhibits thymidylate synthase, disrupting DNA synthesis and function. This combination has demonstrated moderate efficacy with tolerable toxicity profiles in clinical studies for various advanced solid tumors including head and neck cancer and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors[1][2][4].
