Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Endura-KT is a compounded local anesthetic combination developed by Ventis Pharma specifically for pain management during dental and oral procedures. It is formulated as an FDA 503B compounded medication containing lidocaine, tetracaine, and epinephrine. Lidocaine and tetracaine are local anesthetics that work by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels, thereby inhibiting nerve impulse conduction and providing analgesia. Epinephrine is included as a vasoconstrictor to reduce local blood flow, which helps to prolong the duration of the anesthetic effect and minimize systemic absorption of the active ingredients.
