Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Enduracaine (BPI-004) is a non-opioid, long-acting local analgesic combination being developed by Balanced Pharma for the management of post-surgical pain. The drug is a patented formulation of tetracaine (0.2%), lidocaine (0.4%), and epinephrine (1:250,000), designed to provide up to 72 hours of analgesia following a single local injection. Originally marketed as a compounding kit called Endura-KT by Ventis Pharma, Balanced Pharma is reformulating the product into stable, pre-filled syringes and dental cartridges with a two-year shelf life. Enduracaine is intended for use across a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopedic, oral, maxillofacial, general, podiatric, gynecological, and cardiothoracic surgery, aiming to reduce the reliance on post-operative opioids.
