Overview
Enduramide (marketed as Endur-Amide) is a sustained-release oral formulation of niacinamide (nicotinamide), the amide form of vitamin B3 (niacin). It is primarily used to prevent and treat niacin deficiency (pellagra), which can result from poor diet or certain medical conditions. Niacinamide serves as a precursor for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), an essential coenzyme involved in cellular energy production, DNA repair, and metabolic processes. Unlike nicotinic acid, it does not cause flushing and is not effective for lowering blood lipid levels. The sustained-release wax-matrix delivery system provides gradual release over 5–7 hours to support healthy aging, skin health, cell division, and neuronal function[1][2][3][5].
