ENERGI-F703 is a topical gel developed by Energenesis Biomedical for the treatment of chronic wounds, particularly diabetic foot ulcers and varicose ulcers. Its primary mechanism of action is the activation of AMP activated protein kinase (AMPK), which enhances cellular energy production by increasing ATP levels in tissues near wounds. The active pharmaceutical ingredient in the gel is adenine. Preclinical and clinical studies have shown that ENERGI-F703 reduces inflammation in endothelial cells, accelerates fibroblast fibrosis and collagen deposition, promotes granulation tissue formation, and speeds up wound healing by enhancing epithelial cell migration. The drug has reached Phase III clinical trials for diabetic foot ulcers (Wagner Grade 1–2) and Phase II for varicose ulcers. It is administered topically as a gel[1][5][6][7][8].
